E-Safety Resources

The government has recently launched a brand new website to support parents. The website has being developed with ParentZone and CEOP, the police command responsible for child exploitation and online protection. Parent Info is a collection of articles, tips, expert advice and resources designed to help parents keep up with what their children are doing on-line. For example, the site currently includes information about staying safe on minecraft, mental health, and building online resilience.

The Windmill cake sale!

The Windmill School hosted a delightful bake sale on the 2nd of April 2025, to raise funds for the Hearts of Oak charity. We could not have done it without the help of our wonderful students, who baked, decorated cakes, and created a beautiful display at the entrance, and our amazing staff, who helped organize and support the students. The goal is to acquire a brand new electric mini bus, which will significantly enhance our students' experiences by enabling more educational trips and excursions. Thank you to all the parents who came along and bought a cake, we hope you enjoyed them!! We managed to raise £90!

News Alert!

"Hearts of Oak our charity have received a huge donation of £12,000 towards our minibus! Roland J who is a dear friend of Sally,  (Humanities Teacher at Oak Lodge School) heard about Windmill needing a minibus. He climbed a mountain in China , then phoned Sally to say he was donating a large sum of money to Hearts of Oak for the bus!! We will send a letter of thanks to Roland J

The Variety Club want to sell 60 minibuses for their 60th Anniversary this year and have pledged that if we raise £15,000 they will donate the rest for a brand-new electric minibus to take our pupils out on trips. Therefore we are looking to gather parental support for fundraising the extra £3,000 we need for the bus. We are submitting an application this week to secure the bus with the aim of reaching our goal very soon. Windmill colleagues are arranging a sponsored walk in June that will be inclusive of all staff parents and pupils. More information to follow. Our group of mentors from Queen Elizabeth’s Boys School have also made a commitment to fund raise for us which shows such tremendous support."- Ginny D'Odorico Head teacher.
