Careers Education & Guidance
Careers Education and Guidance is promoted through class learning supported by work related activities and residential opportunities that arise across the school, or by special work experience placements with trusted partners.
We aim to establish strong links between the school, local further education colleges and training providers.
A careers adviser with a specialism in learning disabilities provides guidance for pupils from Year 8 onwards and supports their transition into further education, training or employment according to their individual circumstances.
Pre-vocational and work related learning are established across the whole school curriculum. Work experience placements may be offered to students from Year 10 onwards, and throughout our Post-16 provision, depending on the needs of the students and the opportunities that become available.
